Sign in to PostSupermarket charging double for same items vs. downtown
FoodMart Neighborhood
I compared receipts with my cousin who shops downtown. The same brand of rice, beans, and cooking oil at our neighborhood FoodMart is consistently 30-50% more expensive. We are being exploited because they know we have no car to go elsewhere.
Corner store sells expired food and ignores complaints
Quick Stop Market
For the past year, I have found expired products on the shelves at least once a month. I've told management three times and nothing changes. Last week I found milk 2 weeks expired. This is a health risk to our entire neighborhood.
Pharmacy won't stock basic medications in our area
CVS Pharmacy - Eastside
The CVS on our block keeps running out of insulin, blood pressure meds, and asthma inhalers. We have elderly and sick residents who depend on this pharmacy. Meanwhile their location in the suburbs is always stocked. This is discrimination.
Gas prices 40% higher than stations 2 miles away
QuickFuel Gas Station
QuickFuel on 5th and Main is charging $4.89/gallon when every other station nearby is $3.49. This has been going on for 6 months and they know our community has no other close option. We deserve fair prices just like everyone else!
Car dealership refusing fair trades in our zip code
Prestige Auto Group
I've talked to 12 neighbors now who all got lowballed on their trade-ins at this dealership. But when you look at reviews from the wealthier side of town, they are offering full value. Same cars, different treatment based on your address.
Restaurant treats customers differently based on appearance
The Golden Fork
Three of us went to this restaurant and were seated near the kitchen even though better tables were empty. Two of my friends have had the same experience. When white customers arrived after us, they were seated immediately in the good section.
